Celebrities vs Mortals

There are times when most of us feel like we can save the world. Ease other people's pain or just make them feel better. The easiest target for our sympathy is the group called "celebrities". They are everywhere, the news, the tv, the newspapers, magazines and so on. We hear about them, their problems, their fears, and suddently their lives become so familiar to us as if they were friends of our own.

As years pass we learn about their success or downfall but what do we do than just "watch"? Isn't it a little sick? Knowing that a fellow man/woman is in trouble and all you can do is stay behind and watch? There must be more than that.

I became to see that celebrities are as human as the rest of us are. Maybe more vulnerable than the average human being, but still....human.

Who is there for them in times of need? Who do they turn into for help and guidance? Can't we, people who "care" do something more than just "watch"? We hear about pollution and world catastrophe but what do we do to stop it?

I recently tried to communicate with an actor - whose name I wouldn't like to reveal- and here is what I read on the site that claims it's official and claims to give the only valid addresses there are, are in this site:

"If you want to request an autograph, follow the guidelines bellow. If you just want to mail a letter with the address above, and do not want anything back, then you can stop reading."

Does it always have to be something in return? Who sets this pattern? Where is humanity where you can give without expecting things in return?

My point is, isn't there a way to contact these people beyond the walls that surround them? We might have things to give or things to say that might make a difference on a rainny day. Isn't it unfair to be all put in the same bucket and treated like nobodies?

Being solid and distant creates mass hysteria. Being normal and human, creates balance and reality. We are not monsters...we are the people who live next door and might help you when you most likely need it.
